Everyone loves to play games. Especially when you are bored and “There is nothing to do.” With the advances in both technology and education a new favorite pass time activity for both moms and children is computer games that will actually teach your children to read. Unfortunately, it is imperative to state this, but this is not intended to replace reading with your children and sitting down and doing some core book work, but more or less to support what they are learning both in the classroom and on mom or dads knee.

Teaching your kids to read can be both fun and challenging at the same time. It is such a delight to see the glow spread across a young child’s face as they start to make sense of language. Learning to read is fundamental to almost every aspect of learning and will only compliment their development in other areas of their life.

Honestly looking back at your own childhood you probably remember some moments when you would have rather been anywhere, but the kitchen table reading. Computer games that teach children to read give parents a great little secret in their pocket as they are able to entice and reward children to do their bookwork to then be able to go on the computer and “play.”
