The classroom of the future is happening now, blending teaching and technology into incredible learning opportunities for students. Computers have opened multiple sources of learning, new experiences and opportunities that students can interact with.

Computers and technology have allowed students to interact with history, books and learning on a whole new level. They can now do research directly through websites such as the National Archives, Smithsonian, their local library and various other organizations. The media available online allows them to interact with books as they are read, watch videos about historical events and see those who experienced explaining what happened.

Technology also allows teachers to instruct in a variety of formats and to utilize various equipment. Smart Boards allow teachers to easily present information, color code math problems and show videos all on the same screen. The notes taken during a lesson can be saved onto the computer and printed out for students.

Computer learning games make math, reading and other subjects fun to learn. Students who struggle with math can interact with the same topic in the form of a game, increasing their confidence as they work their way through the lesson. With these advantages, technology is perfect fit for the classroom.
